Artemis

Greece

Artemis is the Greek goddess of the new moon. Her brother is Apollo.

Known as the "Huntress of Souls", she carries a bow and arrow and spends most of her time in nature. She is a protectress of anyone who calls upon her, and particularly defends unmarried young women and children and animals. She protects nonviolently, using wisdom as her sole weapon. She is considered a nature, fertility, and moon goddess.

Artemis is a powerful manifestor, and she teaches us the importance of spending time in nature and to follow our instincts.

Artemis helps with animals and wildlife; camping and hiking; children, especially girls; environmentalism; fertility and conception; intuition; feminine power; and protection.

The stone associated with Artemis is Green Agate or Moss Agate.
